Accord is an artificial human and background character serving as a recorder of world events.[1]
Background[]
First introduced in Drakengard 3, Accord continues to observe the divergent world of NieR.[2] Her relationship to androids such as YoRHa is unknown, though she has been noted as some type of "artificial human."[1]
During the events of NieR, Accord acts as a merchant who was known to have passed through the Village. She apparently used her signature travel bag to carry goods.[3] In the game's backstory, the "Accord Corporation" provided weapons for the National Weapons Laboratory. They were shown to have compatibility with body donors such as No. 6 and No. 7.[4]
By the events of NieR:Automata, Accord owns a chain of weapon stores with more than 140 global locations. The stores develop new equipment and restore ancient weapons.[5] Accord owns the shop ran by the Weapons Trader in the Resistance Camp.[6] She only visits every few years and typically sends new stock using delivery drones.[7]
In NieR:Automata ver1.1a, Accord was seen repairing A2 in the final episode of the series.
Appearance[]
Accord is only mentioned in NieR and NieR:Automata, never making a physical appearance. However, she has a cameo appearance in episode 24 of NieR:Automata Ver1.1a, appearing similar to how she did in Drakengard 3, though with some slight alterations. She has green eyes and black hair with flat bangs tied into twintails, and wears white-framed glasses with circular lenses. She wears white flower-shaped earrings. Her clothing consists of a white dress shirt with puffed shoulders, a black necktie, black gloves on her hands, a black skirt, light-black leggings, and black thigh-high boots. She carries a large, brown suitcase with her wherever she goes.

Trivia[]
- Accord is briefly featured in a story told by Yudil in NieR Reincarnation during The People and the World. She is notably referred to as a "puppet" whose goal is to observe humans.[2]
- Accord's affiliation with the National Weapons Laboratory may provide an origin for Emil's staff.
- Similarly, Accord's presence and later reputation of being a weapons trader may provide an origin for weapon designs originating from Drakengard.

I just tend to customers and keep all the repair devices humming. (NieR:Automata) - ↑ Weapons Trader: I only see her every few years, to be honest. She mostly just uses delivery drones to drop things off. I don't know where she gets this stuff, but most of it's in pretty good condition! Say, if you ever happen to run into her, say hello from me, all right? (NieR:Automata)
