Emil Heads is a weapon in NieR:Automata.
Description[]
- "Weapons shaped like Emil's head, made of an unknown singular element."
- — In-game description
Location[]
- This weapon can be obtained by defeating Emil near the entrance to his underground home after the sinkhole reveals old tunnel systems.
- Loot his home twice to trigger his boss fight. The second chest must be unlocked by 9S.
Weapon Story[]
- [09/02/12422] I confirmed that the machine lifeforms released by the aliens have reconstructed their network. I've started to see units with gravity-controlling capabilities again as well.
- [10/15/12422] I was spawned about a week ago, so I don't have clear recollections of anything before that. Say, I wonder where the Original disappeared to all those millennia ago...
- [12/14/12422] I confirmed that the 25th one born after me has stopped his biological activity. Although we're technically immortal—since we can respawn indefinitely and all—we're still not exempt from death.
- [01/19/12423] Our memories are only copies, so they're pretty vague. That android wearing black... I have the feeling I've met her before. She had a complicated look on her face, but I can't remember anything...
Trivia[]
- The Emil voice clips only play on hits that connect with an enemy that can receive damage. The hits must also be with the heads themselves: hits with Shock Waves from the Emil Heads will not trigger the ability.
- Oddly, the activation date for the Emil heads, assuming the final number is the year, is about 500 years after NieR:Automata takes place. During the final entry of the weapon story, it also mentioned a female android in black. This implies that 2B at least reactivated after the events of Ending E.
