Recovery[]

Recovery items restore the player's HP, cure them from negative effects, and/or provide temporary buffs when used. Compared to other categories of items, only ten of these may be carried at a time.

Raw Materials[]

Raw Materials encompass a wide range of resources, including (but not limited to) junk, high-value metals, and animal matter. Often required for certain quests, but are primarily used to upgrade weapons in the player's possession. The Material Hunter trophy/achievement is awarded to the player for acquiring 50 different types of all available raw materials in-game.

Fishing[]

Fishing items receive their own category as part of the fishing mini-game the player can partake in. Depending on the bait used and the location settled in, fish or junk may be hauled in and are valued accordingly. Two achievements—Fish of Legend and A Round by the Pond—are tied to this mini-game.

Cultivation[]

The Cultivation section features the assortment of fresh goods that can be planted in the garden. It opens up for use after completing "Shopping List" and "A Return to Shopping", both issued by the Florist in the Village. Should the player skip these quests, the Cultivator's Handbook becomes available for sale during the game's second half.

This optional activity is tied to the Legendary Gardener achievement, which requires one to successfully cultivate a Lunar Tear, only made possible by hybridizing several moonflower variants.

Key Items[]

Key Items feature objects that are otherwise necessary for progressing through either the main story or sidequests. The majority of key items in the player's inventory cannot be discarded, and a select few are removed depending on the task at hand.

Vapor Moss A medicine to help Yonah's cough. Acquired at the Village's southern gate.
