NieR Replicant Drama CD: The Lost Verses and the Red Sky (ニーア レプリカント ドラマCD ウシナワレタコトバトアカイソラ) is a drama CD collection released in Japan. It is set in the world of NieR Replicant as opposed to NieR Gestalt.
Features[]
Disc 1 and Disc 2 Track 1 take place prior to the 2053 prologue sequence of NieR Replicant. They describe events surrounding Project Gestalt and the Legion invasion. Sections starring the main cast of NieR take place in 2050 (three years before the prologue).
Disc 2 Track 2 is a Kainé-centric epilogue from Ending D. Track 3 is Emil fighting the Aliens centuries after Ending B, leading into part of the plot for the game's sequel "NieR:Automata".
Most of Disc 2 places the characters into a high school scenario at "Private Replicant High School" (私立レプリカント高等学校). Both the younger and older versions of Nier interact with each other, and Tyrann acts as Kainé's older brother.
The final track is an Easter egg with Emil humming to his theme song.
Booklet[]
A small 15-page booklet also comes in the collection with a list of tracks, cast members, and staff. It contains a "Text Commentary" with specific notes and extra information separated by Disc, Track, and a minute/second mark. The booklet also has a "School Information" section that explains the background of Replicant High School, including a character list and various images.
