A Stray Scarecrow
Stray Scarecrows,[1] also known as Broken Scarecrows,[2] are objects in NieR Reincarnation.
Characteristics[]
Stray Scarecrows resemble a Dark Scarecrow shattered into pieces. They are a rare occurrence within The Cage and are often in secluded areas.[2] Stray Scarecrows are notably different from Dark Scarecrows in that they don't contain weapon memories.[1][3]
The scarecrows contain difficult high-Force boss fights that require certain characters to be used. Defeating the boss results in the Stray Scarecrow briefly turning white, then disintegrating into a Mysterious Crystal that is used as currency within the Mysterious Crystal Exchange.[1]
Stray Scarecrows emit a notably negative aura that can be felt by those in close proximity.[2][4][5]

About Stray Scarecrows
A Stray Scarecrow is a scarecrow in The Cage that does not posses a weapon memory. By interacting with one, you can attempt a battle against powerful foes.
Upon completing a Stray Scarecrow for the first time, you will receive Mysterious Crystals that can be traded in for items at the Exchange.
