"The Fisherman's Gambit, Part 7" is a quest in NieR and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.... This quest becomes available after completing "The Fisherman's Gambit, Part 6".
Activation[]
- Speak to the old fisherman in Seafront any time after the timeskip.
Quest log[]
- The old fisherman will teach you some techniques if you can catch three royal fish.
- You caught the requested fish. Report back to the old fisherman.
- You caught three royal fish and learned some fishing techniques.

Notes[]
- The Fisherman's Gambit series of quests are the only quests that carry through to Act II, alongside "Boar Hunt!"
- Royal Fish can be caught with Earthworms at the pond in the Eastern Road. For tips on fishing and a list of fish and how to catch them, see Fishing (NieR).
- The goats in the area will actively try to harm the player while they fish. While invulnerable when fishing, it may be worth it to get rid of them first if they prove to be too much of a distraction.
- After completing this quest, Royal Fish can now be purchased from the Fish Shop for 8,000 Gold each.
