YoRHa Type H No.9 is one of the eight leading characters in the NieR:Automata YoRHa Boys stage play, who was also later included in the novel by the same name.

Story[]

No.9 was scheduled for reformatting and disposal by the bunker, as he was part of a test of YoRHa's capabilities.[1]

Personality[]

Complimentary to his role as a Healer, No.9 is outfitted with an extremely honest and caring personality, almost to the point of naivete at times. He is quick to find companionship in those around him, and with the help of his generally optimistic outlook, trusts very easily as a result. However, No.9 is also shown to struggle with his supportive role, considering himself a lesser part of his squadron as he does not partake in active combat like most of his peers. As such, he works diligently to meet the needs of his comrades and pull his own weight wherever possible.

All survivors were scheduled for disposal―No. 4, No. 9, and me, too.
