Yuzuki is an alternate version of Yuzuki Kurezome as seen in his EX Story. He is a member of the Hamelin Organization along with his older sister, Hina.
Story[]
In a divergent reality, both Yuzuki and Hina exist in the mainline NieR timeline. In 2020, the siblings are rescued as children from Legion by the Hamelin Organization in Tokyo.
By 2028, they are both soldiers working for the Hamelin Organization, where Yuzuki in particular is assigned to a platoon of "rejects". They are tasked with locating a researcher who, despite being infected with White Chlorination Syndrome, is still able to retain his sense of self. Narrowly escaping death from a surprise Legion attack, the platoon locates the research facility of their target, disappointed to find his calcified body as well as notes declaring there is no cure for WCS.
The platoon also discovers that they themselves are infected with the disease, and soon succumb one after another after the Hamelin Organization "rescues" them. Yuzuki learns that their initial mission to find the researcher was a lie, and the organization only sent them out to contract WCS and study its progression through experiments.
Angry and disgusted with the organization's actions, an infected Yuzuki transforms into a Red Eye, a Legion who is able to retain its sense of self and control other Legion. He vows revenge on the organization, and begins by slaughtering the commanding officer that caused his platoon to suffer.
Recollections of Dusk[]

In the year 2030, Yuzuki, as the last of the Red Eyes, hijacks humanity's communication systems. He claims to offer peace, and he says that he wishes to see the one he considers humanity's greatest warrior—Hina, though he conceals his true identity. In truth, the peace talks are a trap designed to eradicate humanity, whom he bears nothing but hatred for, save for his sister.
Elite members of the Hamelin Organization led by Hina and called the 13th Crusade arrive in Jerusalem. Yuzuki commands the Legion to greet them with respect and lead them inside his fortress, to his throne room. He greets a shocked Hina and offers for her to join him in the war against humanity. Battle begins between the 13th Crusade and the Legion under his command, but he orders that none will harm Hina. Hina, who is heavily conflicted, turns on her own squadron and continues to attack all Legion except for Yuzuki.
In the midst of battle, many Legion under Yuzuki's command and many members of the 13th Crusade are slain. He is wounded, having his arm severed. Hina is impaled through the chest by her second in command, and she collapses beside Yuzuki and loses consciousness from blood loss. Before Hina dies, Yuzuki removes his own heart and gives it to Hina so that she would survive. He later awakens in another world with his wounds healing; Hina had awoken and activated a device that sent the two through space and time.
In his native world, he is declared dead. As the last of the Red Eyes, humanity's war against Legion is celebrated victoriously. All that remained of his stronghold was a crater with countless Legion corpses and a large, bonelike sphere dubbed the White Cocoon.[2]
